I try to save the lives of ants and beetles and butterflies; frogs and lizards and turtles and birds; and sheep and mice and kangaroos, when I can. Oh and people too, if needed.
Why would anyone build a house on top of a hill? Well, yes, no flooding, not much frost, good drainage, little fog. But, seriously, does all that make up for the constant wind?
More frightening hot weather is on its way. All you can do is hunker down, wait it out, hope for the best, fear the worst. And send a curse at those who have stopped all action to prevent climate change.

Impossible to decide which season would be best to die in: Summer with its heat and blue skies; Autumn with hints of frost and snow; Winter with the warmth of hearth and home: Spring with flowers and promise of flowers. But whichever I choose I would be desolate not to see the following one.
