No wonder most members of conservative political parties are also religious. Both cults involve preferring ideology to facts, they both have prophets (Isaiah, Hayek), both insist on forcing their beliefs on others (by force if necessary), both have an absolute confidence in beliefs which have absolutely no evidence supporting them (in fact they see such faith as a virtue), both are usually joined at birth with details of ideology inculcated up to the age of seven, both attract a lot of money, both are completely divorced from reality, both would be totally rejected by the public if it was allowed to know their true nature.
