No hope

This is Siegfried Sassoon\’s niece, supposedly an atheist, describing an encounter with her unckle, after which she became a nun!

What hope is there for the world when even apparently smart and sophisticated people are capable of such ignorance and stupidity? Ruining their lives because of a lack of knowledge, or a refusal to accept knowledge.
