Just like Australia (Abbott, Morrison), America (Reagan, Bush jr) has had its share of leaders with IQs approaching negative territory. Damaging to a country but not completely wrecking it, and recoverable when positive IQs return to the leader\’s desk.
But in Trump America has found a uniquely malignant leader with a combination of -IQ, total ignorance, narcissism, and malevolence. And in Australia Peter Dutton is clearly following the same script, and will probably get elected this year.
It is definitely time for me to despair of this country.
