Trump apologetics – a process that starts with the presupposition that Donald Trump is a man sent by god, the greatest genius who ever lived, who is omniscient, has complete knowledge and unlimited wisdom and expertise. Who makes no mistakes and can never make a mistake. A process that involves his apologists translating his every utterance in the most glowing terms and explaing away any apparent anomalies or inconsistencies or untruths, since these cannot be a feature of such a heavenly beings\’ discourse. It is hard work but many are clamouring to do it.
