So it has come to this: the media in western countries has been brow-beaten into believing that every opinion even vaguely left of centre has to be balanced by an opinion from the extreme right (the reverse of course not being the case), and that facts about reality (with its well-known liberal bias) have to be balanced by lies. As a consequence, in 2017, some 30 years since it became clear that the planet was warming due to CO2 emissions with disastrous projected consequences, the general public are unaware there is a problem, or actively reject the notion, and the politicians follow suit.
